Haywood 100 Poultry House

The Haywood 100 wooden chicken house is part of our range of large chicken coops. This high quality hut is 15' x 8' x 7' high (4.5 x 2.4 x 2.1m high) and can accommodate up to 100 chickens to free range standards. We manufacture the hen house in 3 sizes to house up to 25, 50 and 100 chickens to free range standards. This hen house is extremely popular due to it' strong, sturdy and attractive design and its easy management features. It has plenty of light with 2 sliding glass windows on each side of the building. It also has 2 weldmesh covered adjustable ventilation hatches on the front for extra light and ventilation.

Everything about this walk in chicken coop is symmetrical. You enter the Haywood chicken house from the front of the building and directly in front of you are two metal roll away nest boxes with 10 individual nests in each one. Each individual nest box is lined with a plastic insert on a slight incline so that the eggs gently roll forward into the metal trays at the front of the nest box. These nest boxes are ideal to keep the eggs clean and away from potential egg eaters. Our standard Haywood hen house has the egg collection trays on the inside of the house, we can supply this chicken house with a cupboards on the outside so that the eggs roll into trays for external collection, please select rear gathering nest boxes in our options below when ordering. To the left and right of the nest boxes there are perches. Under the perches there is a removable droppings board which pulls out for easy cleaning from the front of the house. 

Our Haywood Poultry House is supplied with wooden skids as standard, these lift the building off the ground by 4" so that air can circulate underneath, however they are not designed for towing. If you want a portable chicken coop we offer metal skids as an option so you can move the chicken house around the field on a regular basis.

The chickens are released from the hen house via a two wooden pop holes either side of the main access door on the front of the chicken house. We offer the 'Chicken Guard' range of automatic door openers, these are a British made product. Our standard wooden pop hole is quite large as standard, therefore we alter the pop holes to make them smaller if they are to be used with automatic door openers. The Pro Chicken Guard opens and closes your chicken coop using a timer and light sensor operated with 4 AA batteries. Please note this hen house has two pop holes as standard, therefore please update the basket with two doors and doors openers if you would like one on each pop hole.

As this chicken hut is custom made we are more than happy to discuss bespoke alterations with you. The chicken shed is delivered by our team in flat sections for customer assembly unless the assembly service is selected below. We pre-drill most of the holes to make it easier for you to put together and all the fixings are supplied with instructions. We do not hold a stock of our sheds as they are all handmade to order. Therefore there is a delay between order and delivery which varies depending on the time of year.
