The Holt 8 Bird Hen House

Our lovely Holt Hen House is solid wooden chicken coop for up to 8 hens or 12 bantams. The chicken house area is raised off the floor by 26cm (10") to deter vermin problems.

The chicken coop has 3 external wooden nest boxes, with a recycled plastic stockboard roof, and a block of 5 removable perches inside the hen house. A ladder leads up to the pop hole for the chickens to access the ark, and there is a door on the side of the house for cleaning and access. There is a weldmesh covered ventilation shutter on the front of the wooden house for good air flow. The roof of the hen house is genuine clack corrugated onduline for easy maintenance and to deter red mite. The chicken coop has carrying handles so that the chicken house can be moved easily.

Cleaning the chicken house is easy, the wooden door hinges open and the perches lift out. The wooden floor is flush with the door opening to make sweeping out easy.

• Holt Hen House Size - 110 cm x 100cm x 140cm high (3'8" x 3'4" x 4'3" high). These sizes are the wooden house area, they do not include the roof or nest box.
• Actual floor area 1.02m x 0.93m (free range regulations advise 9 chickens per m2)

• The two handles are 1.68m long each
  

Our hen houses are made in our Shropshire based workshop using sustainably sourced high quality timbers. The panels are dipped in a water based nut brown timber treatment which is safe not only for our staff, but also your hens and the environment.

We like to deliver all our hen houses directly to you ourselves, however this chicken coop can be delivered via pallet if you need it quickly. We deliver the hen houses in flat sections for customer assembly. We pre-drill most of the holes to make it easy for you to put together and all the fixings are supplied with instructions.
